The Keychron Q16 HE 8K is a premium 65% wired magnetic gaming keyboard combining a distinctive ceramic body, ceramic keycaps and advanced Hall Effect technology. Designed for competitive FPS players and enthusiasts who demand precise keyboard control, it features 8,000Hz polling, Rapid Trigger and adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 3.35mm.

Unlike conventional mechanical keyboards, the Q16 HE 8K uses pre-lubed Keychron Ultra-fast Lime magnetic switches that detect key movement without relying on traditional electrical contact. Players can customise actuation for individual keys, set rapid resets and configure multiple actions based on keypress depth.

For competitive games such as CS2 and Valorant, features including Last Key Priority (LKP), Snap Click and Dynamic Rapid Trigger provide more control over directional inputs. An 8,000Hz wired polling rate and up to 256kHz single-key scanning further support responsive input reporting.

What truly distinguishes this keyboard is its ceramic construction. The glossy ceramic case and Cherry-profile ceramic keycaps offer a cool, smooth touch, substantial 1.06kg weight and distinctive typing acoustics. An aluminium plate and internal acoustic materials complement the premium construction.

Its compact 65% US ANSI layout retains dedicated arrow keys while freeing up desk space for wide mouse movements. North-facing RGB lighting adds customisable illumination, while the Keychron Launcher web app enables actuation adjustments, macros and key remapping.

Available in Light Green and Navy Blue, the Keychron Q16 HE 8K is a distinctive choice for gamers who want magnetic-switch performance alongside premium materials and customisation.

The Q16 HE 8K allows individual key actuation points to be adjusted between 0.1mm and 3.35mm, with 0.01mm configuration increments.

Shallow actuation can be useful for quick movement inputs, while deeper actuation can help reduce accidental presses during typing.

Dynamic Rapid Trigger activates and resets keys based on their actual movement rather than requiring them to cross a fixed reset point. This makes it possible to register repeated key actions with less unnecessary travel.

These settings are especially relevant for competitive FPS players who frequently change direction, counter-strafe and execute rapid movement commands.
The Q16 HE 8K includes advanced directional-input options:

Last Key Priority (LKP): Gives priority to the most recently pressed key when opposing directional inputs overlap.

Snap Click: Prioritises the deeper keypress during simultaneous inputs, helping resolve conflicting key commands.

Customisable Actuation: Allows different sensitivity settings for movement, utility and typing keys.

These features can change how movement inputs behave. Some competitive games and tournaments restrict input-assistance features, so players should check the applicable rules before enabling them.
The Q16 HE 8K offers selectable polling rates of 1,000Hz, 4,000Hz and 8,000Hz through its wired USB-C connection.

At 8,000Hz, the nominal USB reporting interval is 0.125ms. This is eight times more frequent than the reporting interval at 1,000Hz.

The keyboard also features up to 256kHz single-key scanning, which describes how frequently its sensing system can sample key movement.

Polling rate and scanning rate are different measurements; neither independently guarantees a specific end-to-end input latency.

The Q16 HE 8K is wired only. It does not support Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless connectivity.
