RETURN & REFUND POLICY
We aim to provide clear and fair return conditions that comply with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU)while protecting our customers and ensuring responsible use of our return process.
1. Right of Withdrawal (EU 14-Day Return Period)
Customers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 calendar days from the day the product is received.
To exercise this right, you must:

Important notes (legal):
The right of withdrawal applies only if the product is returned in resaleable condition.
It does not apply to goods that:

have been used or show signs of wear

are damaged or altered by the customer

have missing packaging, accessories, or protective elements

have tampered seals, broken factory films, or removed stickers
-
fall under legally excluded categories (see Section 5)
2. Order Cancellation Policy
To maintain fast and efficient logistics, order cancellations are subject to the following rules:

Cancellation window
You may request an order cancellation within 24–48 hours after placing your order only if the order has not yet been processed or shipped.

Processed or dispatched orders
Once an order enters fulfillment or has been handed over to the courier, cancellation is no longer possible.
You may still use your 14-day withdrawal right after receiving the item (subject to the return conditions in Section 1 and 2).

Custom or made-to-order items
Custom-made configurations (including custom PCs) cannot be cancelled after the order is placed.
Refund for cancelled orders
Approved cancellations are refunded within 3–5 business days to the original payment method.
3. Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return under the withdrawal right, the product must meet all of the following:

Condition “as new”
No visible signs of use, scratches, fingerprints, wear, dust, or installation marks.

Original packaging preserved
Including:
-
retail box
-
inner trays
-
protective films
-
documentation
-
factory stickers and seals
If packaging is missing or damaged, the refund will be reduced.

Complete set of accessories
All cables, screws, manuals, inserts, and additional parts must be returned.
If anything is missing → a partial refund will be issued.
4. Return Shipping & Deductions
Return shipping costs are paid by the customer.
(Allowed under EU law unless the item is defective.)

If the product is returned:

with missing components

with damaged or torn box
-
with visible signs of use

in non-resaleable condition
Standesk reserves the right to reduce the refund by an amount that reflects the loss in value.
This reduction may reach 30–50% for items that can no longer be sold as new.
This is in accordance with Article 14(2) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
5. Defective or Incorrect Items
If the item is defective or not as described:

A full refund will be issued, including standard delivery costs
We may request photos or videos to verify the issue before approving the return.
6. Items That Cannot Be Returned
In accordance with EU rules and for hygiene and safety reasons, the following cannot be returned:

Hygiene-related items (if opened or used)

headsets with ear pads

ergonomic pads / wrist rests

mouse pads (if used)

cushions and similar items

Electronics or components that lose value when opened

cables after installation

any item that cannot be resold safely once opened

Digital products or activated software keys
7. Refund Timeline

FAQ – Returns & Refunds
1. Can I return an item if I simply changed my mind?
Yes. Customers within the EU may return an item within 14 days under the withdrawal right — but only if the item is unused, in “as new” condition, and returned with full original packaging and accessories.
Used or incomplete items are not eligible for a full refund.
2. Who covers the return shipping costs?
Return shipping costs are paid by the customer, unless the product is defective or incorrect.
This follows the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
3. What happens if the item shows signs of use or missing parts?
In this case, a reduction of the refund will be applied according to EU law.
Depending on the loss of value, the reduction may be up to 30–50% if the product cannot be resold as new.
4. Can I return opened electronics or PC components?
Not always. Many electronics and internal components lose value immediately after opening and may not be refundable unless defective.
Examples: CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, storage devices, printer cartridges, installed cables.
5. Are hygiene-related items eligible for returns?
No. Items that come into contact with the body cannot be returned once opened or used.
This includes: in-ear headsets, cushions, wrist rests, and used mouse pads.
6. How can I cancel my order before it ships?
